If you don't know god help you...
Psst... the PS3 has been outselling the 360 for the past couple of months.
I'm sure that the 360 is going to see a bump in sales for Nov, as many of the owners of the 600K or so consoles that were banned are looking to replace them with unmodded consoles.
1.) Purposely ship out defective SKUs so that unassuming buyers will simply purchase another defective SKU.
2.) When the defective SKUs finally become a hot issue, issue a free three-year warranty that covers them when they've all already been sold and discarded. At the same time, "update" the system with better hardware that will actually not RROD on the consumer, thus negating the three-year warranty.
3.) Purposely flaw the system so that hacking it is extremely easy, and then corrupt the console of those consumers who decide to hack it, forcing them to buy yet another flawed system.
4.) Profit not once, not twice, but as many times as it takes for the consumer to learn just how much money they are wasting.
Not that that's their strategy, of course, but it would be a darn good one.
It would be hilarious if MS suddenly came out and told the media that they did just that. Biggest troll ever.
