Thought this thing was toast after my pc had a jungleflasher moment. It wouldn't behave, if it was connected to the PC via SATA, windows would freeze up momentarily and repeat until the drive was disconnected. Something was going on within the drive to cause this so I went on.......really, I went all the way back to MTKFLASH from a DOS boot CD in order to give this recovery a try.

WTF, it worked! Had to mess with the power a few times before it recognized the flash and wrote my fw, I couldn't believe it.

Anyway, for those that have what you believe are bricked dvd roms out there and have not been around for the dos days do some reading, you may be surprised what you find.

This method doesnt work with hitachis shame though, also get your hands on the "360 Modification USB Drive v1.6 Revision 4" works well with the sammy drive if JF freezes. Also if you have probs with JF freezing reduce the display settings res to the lowest works everytime for me.
