As the title suggests, I would like to know if it's possible to have a Wireless XBOX 360 Controller on PS3. Im considering getting a PS3 but I hate the controller of PS3 (my preferences).
I know for the Wired controller it works, but for the wireless im not sure.
Any input?

i attempted this while at my friends house short 1 ps3 controller, and he had lots of controlers from his old broken xboxs, i used the play and charge kit to connect it to the usb, and it would see it as a unknown sub device, and wouldnt do anything, so your answer is no it will not work.

Might want to look at the dreamGEAR Shadow controler. $30. Based on the 360 controler.

What glassd said OR you can commission Ben Heck to make you one ~ PS360 Wireless Controller OR try and make one yourself.......outside of that, you only have 2 other choices. 1) use a wired controller with an XCM Cross Battle Adapter or 2) get used to the Dual Shock 3

I'll take ur less sarcastic option as the best one. I played many games in PS2 (I have it too) but I just prefer the XBOX 36O one.
Getting a dreamGEAR Shadow doesnt look to be an option (dont want to have more hardware at home) :)

I plugged in a generic wireless USB controller - based on the 360 design - and it worked fine. The only issue I had is that 1) the Sixaxis features are missing, obviously, and 2) you couldn't access the XMB in-game/movie/music player/etc.
You can plug just about any PC controller and it should work just fine, but I'm guessing that doesn't necessarily help you out too much.

Thanks guys, knowing that it's not possible really helps.
Just one suggestion, if any generic PC controller works, wouldnt a wireless adapter of X360 controller (to pc) work?

There was no sarcasm in my offer of trying to help you resolve your issue.

Really there was none. Just the coldness of words in black & white without a voice to convey the tone. I myself love to try and build/mod things as this thread shows

What, you sayin' I'm an efftard? Oh HAIL NAO!!!
Nah, just kidding. But anyway.
You have any luck with that 360 controller thing?
The Saitek Cyborg Rumble Pad seems like it might work okay... though I'm not sure if forking out $20-30 is worth testing it out.
Also, I just read: http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?op...=1&limitstart=2
Apparently, all wireless controllers (besides PS3 controllers) can't connect through Bluetooth and require an adapter to work properly.
I guess that means the one I mentioned testing above was actually a wired controller. My bad.
(Or that article could be saying that you need a Bluetooth adapter plugged into a USB port in order for it to work, which is how most wireless PC controllers work anyhow.)
But yeah, that might help.
