PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SAYING THAT THERE ARE MANY OTHER THREADS JUST LIKE THIS ONE! THANKS
1.VERBATIM DVD+R DL 2.4x 8.5GB Singapore
2.Imgburn, CDClone
3. Memorex 32023288 DVD Double-Layer Recorder 16x16 Dual Format External Drive
4. Xbox 360 SS merger 1.5o
I have Verbatim DVD+r DL 2.4x 8.5gb media that I have used and tried to burn on Imgburn and CDClone, everytime that I burn it stops about
50-80% and error message with option to retry and it wont finish and becomes a coaster. I tried Cdclone and the same thing happend about 50% through. I have set the layer break at 1913760 in imgburn and I tried to use ssmerger 1.5o and no results were given to me. I dont know why this is happening and I cant burn and every posting that I read dosnt help me because It just keeps saying that same things that I keep trying and that obviously isnt working out for me. I have had my dvd burner for a while and always gives me good results with xbox games ps2 games and now that ive moved on to xbox 360 im stumped. If anyone can tell me what to do I would really appriciate it because I dont want to make anymore coasters. thanks and please reply to this posting only with NEW suggestions.

It's probably your burner mate. Check to see if there's a firmware update for it, which can often improve compatibility with certain types of media.

can any one explain to me why its not good enough ?
cus realy this burner has seemd to get me threw alot of burns
xbox ps1 ps2.ect
and ive tryed burning a few times and that error message hasint come up every time other burns it has gone to got up to 51 precnt then another
burn 80 precent
and then hits a certain sector and then its a coster
and this is the first time ive had a time i couldint burn
something ive check and my firmwire update is st8
is burning 360 back ups that much dif from the orignals ?
am i missing something here ?
well any how , then i gess any one got any good dvd burner recomendations? benq and lite on still the favs around here or what ?

Is this the first time you're using dual layer discs though? Some drives are just crap at burning them.

i also tryed doing this
in image burn
tool/settings/write/options click the users specs options
and typed in

everytime i got a failed to L0 data capacity, it was bad media...but with verbatims it should be fine. Another solution, check with abgx360 and set the splitvid right.
