Ok, I have an already banned xbox 360. It is running 1.51 i beleive. My question is, can i use an external USB harddrive somehow to save game data. Im looking at Forza 3 and it requires a 2 gb install to get all the content. This particular xbox doesnt have a HDD and i dont want to use the HDD off my non modded/banned xbox and get it corrupted. Any idea? Worst case ill ebay a 20gb hard for 30 bucks or so but i have a 80gb USB drive laying around not being used so just wondering if i can use that somehow. Thanks.

Just curious... but why not? Obviously I realize MS would do this so people HAVE to buy their WAY overpriced HDDs, but exactly is stopping you from using an external for saves and installs, and why isnt there a way to hack or mod it to work?

If a trick existed, we'd be using our own legit HDD in our banned consoles :). Or wait, we wouldnt even need to run through games through DVDs.

Just curious, but if you're gonna spend $30 on a second HDD just to play Forza 3, why not just buy a proper copy of the game and support developers? o.0
