Hi there.Ive just bought my son a wii for xmas and im about to softmod it.the fw revision is 3.4E.ive looked at the tutorial for the 4.1 mod and that looks quite straight forward.However my friend says that i should upgrade to 4.2 and then mod it.Ive looked at the 4.2 guide and i dont like the look of it.
ive downloaded all the files and apps needed to do both mods bard the cboot file as i havent received a reply to the email you have to send from the guide link.Is it worth me upgrading as im not bothered about the wii store.any help if greatly appreciated.
i wouldn't update. I don't know the pros or cons, but i figure the higher the wii update, the more they tried to battle the scene. i have fw 3.2u, and evrything i've done so far works good so far. i have homebrew w/ 4 working apps including conf. usb loader.
