Need help with D2cPro/disks

Hi,

I installed the D2CPRO chip about a year ago and have made backups using the Verbatim disks. Occasionally, I will get errors while playing some games...New Super Mario is the latest. The game will suddenly stop and give me a message telling me to remove the disk, turn off the game and restart the Wii. Is there an issue with the chip, disk or something else?

hey im the same boat as you. i posted this question a few days ago but am not getting any responses.best i can suggest is keep an eye on my post(old mod + new games=confused)and maybe someone will answer.I'll keep an eye on yours, and maybe we will get this figured out.

I just re-ordered a tri wing screwdriver to take the Wii apart and re-apply the chip. I saw a site's instructions that stated;

"3. Place the clip on the D2C chipset and press gently to make sure you get it in right position.
NOTICE! THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP, SO MAKE SURE YOU GET IT RIGHT OR ELSE IT WONT WORK!!

The clips plastic should ?almost? touch the board."

The last sentence is throwing me for a loop. I remember that the clip would not "click" onto the board's chip...so I am hoping that is the problem. We played new super mario last night and got the error message twice, but the time apart was not the same (thus, I don't believe it is a anti-copy issue with the game. I have also had this problem with different games. I am buying the high quality Verbatim disks...as suggested. Please, oh please, WII mod-chip Gods...answer our meager prayers! ;)
