Controller wrecked 2 play and charge kits

I had a controller which I placed a play and charge kit in, it fully charged so I disconnect the lead, but when I did the controller turned off.

I thought the battery must of been faulty so I put in one from my other controller, this battery had been working for almost a year fine and was almost fully charged I put it in and it wouldnt work with the controller.

So I then put the battery back in the other controller and it said it had no power so I connect the lead to charge it up. A few hours later, I disconnect the lead and the controller turns off. As you can imagine im like what the f.

So bassically the controller has somehow destroyed 2 batteries.

All products were official MS Products.

Has anyone heard of this happening before. What should I do, contact MS?

When the charge lead is taken out and you hold the dashboard button to turn on the controller, does the green light come on at all?

No.

I had it charging for about 6 hours last night, doesnt connected the lead, it stayed on for about 20 seconds before turning off.

It seems to work on with normal batteries, but its still fried 2 battery packs that will no longer work in any controller.
