Safe to play games offline?

Hi,

I have firmware 1.6. I havent played online since the ban wave started. Actually havent played the Xbox at all. According to Xbox.com I can still send my machine off for a repair, which some people have said is a good sign you aren't banned.

Anybody know if its safe to play backup games offline at the moment?

The xbox.com repair thing has been proven not to work.

Of course its safe to play a game offline. Why wouldnt it be, your not connected to live. Of course perhaps you mean is it safe to play offline but connected to live, in which case if you console has been flagged to be banned you will be banned.

As far as im aware, even though the ban wave appears to be over, that does not mean your console is safe from banning.

So you either take the risk of connecting to live and seeing if your banned or never ever connect your console to live again and keep all hd functionality.

The choice is yours.

Cheers, no I do mean signing in my profile but not signing into live. My ethernet cable is disconnected.

My plan was to not sign into live at all until the new LT firmware is out and then upgrade to that.

It wont matter as its the console that stores information on bad games and not gamer tag.

Your not actually signing in to live if your ethernet cable is unplugged but your still using your gamer tag.

You ethernet cable has to be connected to sign in to live.

Your ethernet cable does not have to be connected to login to your gamer tag.
