If searched, but im not sure if im using the correct terms.

So yeh, How do you tell if you have a 256MB/512MB board/nand/whatever?

Read the fourms man...use google..turn your xbox on and look around..Its not hard to find out..jesus christ

Thanks for that super useful comment. All I could find was how to tell what type board you had and not if it had 256/512 on board.

From what I can remember in Memory, will it be the option above my HDD?

if you have a 256 or 512 nand it will show up as a memory unit even though you do not have one plugged in. if you do have one of thease 256 or 512 it takes about 24hrs to do one dump on the 512mb and you need 2 dumps. and i would assume writing would take even longer since it takes about 20 min to dump a 16mb nand and about 45min to write. i can only assume it would take over two days to write. if you are using LPT port.

It shows up as "Memory Unit" and the icon next to it is a 360 console, as opposed to a regular external memory unit that shows up as just "MU" and has an icon that looks like a memory unit next to it.
