how to Xfer saved files to USB device

I've searched the forums but have been unsuccessful in finding the answer. Is there anyway to save games files from the HD to a USB flash drive or other USB device? I just want a backup in case the HD ever fails. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the reply. Is there a guide to transferring the files to a PC? Do I use media center or USB cables? I've tried but can't seem to get it to work. Thanks

you can either open up the hard drive case and connect it to the console, or you can get the transfer cable that MS supplies.
