Alrite, My ps3 and psp are registered with each other. The problem occurs on my psp when I try entering online with it and I have to enter my psn account information. After I enter it says "A system software update for the PSP system is required"
Alrite so I need to bypass that error message somehow, So this is what I tried to do.
before I had 5.00 m33-6 firmware, I updated it to 5.50 gen-B,
I tried entering my info again, still not working.
Then I tried changing the version.txt to 6.20, enabled it and everything
Tried entering my info again, still no cigar.
So now I am here wondering what other solutions are their to this problem.
I have a 5.50 GEN B firmware, Trying to get access to PSN so i can register my psp with my ps3 (psp current firmware is 6.20)
PS3 slim firmware 3.1 latest.

I am able to enter the playstation store via psp, but for some reason cannot bypass this error?
there is probly something in the psp software that verifies that it is a legitimit version of the firmware so it can access the ps3. so im thinking your only option is to update.
