think i may have damaged the battery ?
i took my sons battery out how the un modded 5.50 firmware version and put it into my sons hacked one, i then put psp tool on my sons hacked psp and ran psptool from the game menu, i checked battery status and it confirmed it was normal i then clicked option convert to service mode battery i then come out of the memory then clicked select and told it to shut down. i then replaced the memory stick on my sons hacked psp with the one from my sons unhacked, i then took the battery out and while holding the left trigger i inserted the battery.
but this is where it fails the green light comes on but no menu, now i cant get battery to work.

http://dl.qj.net/index.php?pg=12&fid=23522&catid=151 you can get the file here, you will have to use the modded psp to make this stick, try to use a scandisk if you have one smaller the better, at least 256 the pandora battery by itself will not fix the psp, did you see in the video the guy took out a chip that he showed the case said mms. make the chip put it in the psp you want to mod and then do the battery holding the left button.

3000's cannot be hacked as such.

You run chickhen

Then load a CFW enabler 5.03GenA - update it to 5.03GenB load a plug in called sedna (this prevents you accidently turning the PSP completely off)

This will play all the games but if the PSP runs completely out of power or you turn it off completely (hold the power switch up for 5 secs) then you have to run chickhen again.
