I have been researching about how I can FW my x360 to play backup games.
There are some places where it sais you have to solder connections on your dvd drive, and some places say you have to connect your HDD to computer and use a program through gui or DOS...
Which one is for what? Which one to use when?
Isn't there somewhere we/I can see all current methods as tutorials?
I'm using xbox 360 elite, black console white box, pal, united kingdom region, with hdmi port, 99% lite-on. (90% possibble, the latest device)
I believe they are working on FW for the console I have.
But I still want/need to know.
why/when do I tear up my x360 and solder dvd drive pins? Can't i dump FW inside the hdd somehow?

You can just use Jungle Flasher to flash. not needing dos, or any soldering.
No you can't dump the FW via HDD

so newest one can be flashed with jungle flasher with flash memory stick. Okay, cool.
Where can I download/have detailed information about it?
And
do you think I should wait until better releases? Like... mm... the one called iXtreme?
What would be the difference?

I am trying to get all information I need, and instead of pulling threads off topic, I try to create new threads so people who judges the thread from the first post can see what I actually need to know.
