try a new battery! if not the battery you probally have a blown fuse.

remove the battery and plug in the ac adapter then turn the psp on without any battery ... you will see if its bricked or not...

psp dont need a battery if its plugged into ac adapter

you can try to reset your battery memory by connecting the 2 outside slits (that connect to the psp). use a little wire or paper clip and connect it for about 10 seconds.

i personally think that you have blown the power fuse on your motherboard. you simply have to bridge that with some solder. go to llamma.com and look up his psp fuse repair section.

woaaa. look at that. when i took the UMD out, the thing turned on for real and didn't just shut off. i put my battery back in and for a split second the orange light came on, then switched back to the green light, it's deffinitely the battery. again, thank you guys so much
