I soft modded my wii a few months ago and I'm pretty sure I corrupted my sd card. I was wondering if I could just start from scratch with a new card or what. Thanks in advance

Did it render your card completely unusable? Did you try re-formatting it?

I did, I took everything off of it and reformatted and then put it back on because idk what I need to keep. Can I just clear the whole thing and start from scratch?

What files do you have in the card now? Some files are not required to be stored in your card once you have successfully modded your Wii.

hi there,
fairly similar problem to above but i think a bit more confusing.

i softmodded my 3.1v wii 2 mths ago with the twilight hack. it wouldnt play some newer games so i asked a friend to update my neogamma from 3 to 7. when he gave me it back he had deleted all hack programs/channels from the wii and has lost the sd card.

so i thought start again on a new sd card and try reinstall programs, but every time i put an sd card in it says....the device in the sd card slot cant be used. i have tried 3 different cards and all say the same. i have formatted them properly and put programs back on and still getting the same message.

my wii is not bricked because it will still let me into everything except the sd card.and plays originals.

so i have a wii which was once softmodded with homebrew etc to a wii which has no homebrew, gamma, or anything i need to install the hack again.

please can anyone help.
