if anyone needs it here you go.
all you do is
1.load your original dummy.bin file into jf (the one you got when you flasher ixtreme to it and it has your key and serial in it)as the source.
2.open this 74850c firmware as target file.
3. spoof source to target
4. target should now contain your drive key
5. save to file
6. flash your original firmware back
i know LT is only around the corner but i thought some people might find this useful if they wanted to restore to stock ever.

I wonder where this came from, not that it matters much, but would be interested to know how it was ripped from an original drive, if in fact it was.

All LiteOn drives are able to be fully dumped now. It is a matter of time before there will be original firmware for all drives available. An update to Jungle Flasher is coming to support the newer, original LiteOn firmware.

So Im guessing there is no need to buy the ck3 hardware? It can all be done via software now??

guesswh0 why dont you do us all a favour and edited by ddp and die you edited by ddp. i did not upload the firmware, a guy called zefyx did from the #fw thats why i confirmed the firmware worked you edited by ddp. so why dont you run along and talk crap with your little band geeks in your little band geek irc channel, you edited by ddp.

Right, but the dumping method requires soldering and cutting of wires. I would assume a new xtractor is on the way? Ck4 perhaps?

Yeah if you want to use this tough method. Just wait, there will be a new tool released to dump it. Plus, the new drives can only be dumped, not written to yet.
