ok i have a Lite-on 83850c ,ck3 lite, and NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller. Iplan on flashing with iprep 10.7. I want to know if i can flash with that sata chipset or do i need to buy a VIA chipset?

Get a VIA card. They are seriously $10. All you can do is try the on board. Sometimes it works.
