Hi,

Stupid question but I have a liteon 83850c with Ixtreme 1.6. I realise that I can't go back to my original firmware BUT is it in any way possible to spoof another drive to mimic the original firmware?

I think you answered your own question. Yes, spoof it to a benQ. However, you can go back to the original firmware now since all Lite-on's can be dumped.

OK so I'm now a bit confused. Basically I'm looking for a way to restore my 83850c.

I kept my orginal firmware when i flashed it in jungleflasher. It is my understanding though that this ins't really the complete original firmware and so restoring it wouldn't work.

As I've already flashed my drive I take it I've now missed the opportunity of dumping the liteon firmware?

As for spoofing it as a benq how would that work? Fair enough i can spoof it as a benq but ideally i want it to appear as if my xbox has not been modded. I just want to go back to playing original games.

if you've got any links that i can read up on I'd really appreciate it.

I have the same issue. I just got a Jasper unit, flashed a Liteon 83850c drive... And while doing so, I lost the original firmware since the original firmware could not be extracted.

So when ixtreme LT comes out, I'm curious as to how to flash the drive without the original firmware...
