Hi all havnt been on in a while but was wondering if any1 knows how to sort this out,ok here we go
I have taken the PS3 Hdd out and hooked it up to my computer and formatted it to 31000Mb to FAT32 to try and play games i downloaded but the PS reformats it again how can i get it to work on both thanks in advance

There isnt a way to make the HDD work in both systems.
PS3 is using its own file system. I dont know what type tho.
But really, what do you mean to play games that you have downloaded?
Who told you that this is possible?

Well i have a game that apparently and i heard Ps3 could use FAT32 whick it can i was hoping Ps3 wud accept it as FAT32 Must just be FAT32 External Hard Drives that it will accept

There are so many things wrong with what you are trying to do...
The Internal drive on a PS3 uses a proprietary file system...other than sony and perhapse some software developers, no one seems to know how it works. There were theories that it was just an encrypted FAT32, but it supports files over 4GB...so that cannot be the case.
The External drive works with FAT32, but you cannot load or install PS3 games on the external drive.
Even if you could write the the internal drive, you would not be able to simply copy the game over to the drive...you would also need something equivelant to daemon tools; and it would be easier to just crack the firmware...something that no one has been able to do either.

I had heard someone had gotten fight night to work on external HDD in ps3 so was trying a different method of doing so, I'm goind to try the external HDD way next to see if it works

There is no need to be ignorant because you dont have the understanding that this cant be done.
Ill repeat again, this hasnt and cant be done, if you say other people have done this provide proof, othere wise , stop being thick and understand that this isnt possible.
Also i could quote some of the top devs, explaining that the games you download of the net are useless.

I think the issue here is that you, AISmoked, got duped, and you simply refuse to admit and/or accept it.
If I were you, I'd go to whoever fed you the (incidentally very funny) lies about PS3s being hacked and shoot him or her in the face with a shotgun. (Which warrants a disclaimer, I think, judging by how gullible you are: Do not actually shoot anyone in his or her face with a shotgun; it wouldn't be right for them to suffer for your ignorance.)

Also, I'm surprised you still don't get it: You can't format the PS3's internal hard drive into separate partitions to do... whatever it is you want to do. You also cannot put a PS3 game onto an external hard drive and expect to be able to play PS3 games off of it. That is it. There's no "What if...?" about it. You just can't. No one has figured out a way to do that. If you want to try, by all means, try, but trying would probably entail learning a lot about programming (Java, C, C++, etc.), computer hardware, computer software, electronic security, and a wide variety of other topics.
Many, many people have tried to hack the PS3 into playing backups off the internal or external hard drives. None have yet succeeded.
If you still won't believe any of us, then that is on you, and you'll have to deal with that yourself.

I am not arguing i was just stating that i had tried 1 method and was going to try another if i am wrong i am wrong, the best way to learn is from mistakes for me anyway

I would go to your friend that said he was able to do this...and pester him to show you until he admits he is full of s**t. Heck, I supose there is a tiny chance that this guy is the ONLY PERSON ON EARTH who has broken the protection (the chances of wining the lottery are much better). If this is the case, get the ***hole to upload it...and then buy a lottery ticket.
If you want to waist your time on fake successes, just go over to youtube...they have lots of fake videos on how to play copied games on the PS3; or rather...how to play copied games on an xbox360 while sitting on a PS3 :)
They also have some videos of people putting xbox360 games on the PS3...that is, they set the disk on top of the PS3.
And then there are videos of burning PS3 games...with fire.
As mentioned many times before, even if there was a crack, it would be obsolite as soon as the next firmware came out; you need the new firmwares to play online, and most games are more online than off.
