ixtreme 1.51 upgrade/downgrade?

I am a victim of Microsofts hammer and now am banned on xbox live. However, I am not too concerned about getting back on it. If there is a proven way then there is a proven way and I'll try it. Anyway, I had a friend of a friend flash my xbox to 1.51 and I can't play wave 4 games including COD and Left 4 dead 2, I really want to play these games. I don't personally know how to do anything with firmware or what kind of drive it is but is there anyway to play these games with the current firmware or any tips to changing firmware so I can play these games?

hi blueoak

could you give a little more info on what errors you get when you try to load the games please, I have a sh*tachi drive with 1.51 on it and it played CoD fine not sure about L4D2 as i don't own a copy. It may be that the drives laser is on the way out? or you may have poor back ups? Can you try the discs on another 360?

L4D2 may be wave 5 and need to be rewound to wave 3/4 to allow it to play. I'm sure someone will concur or shoot me down in flames on this point :)

Oh do your older games still play?

blueoak, u have to patch the games from wave 4 to wave 3. do a search on here as u can do it with abx or wavespatcher program

1.51 should be booting any disk no matter what it is.....it doesnt have the stealth checks I have it on one of my 360s on a hitachi...it play cod mw2 fine no activiate iso or anything....

if I'm not mistaken, 1.51 should play wave 4 games, CODMW2 and LFD2 are wave 5 and need patched
