Hi, could anyone tell me what is the best firmware to put onto the wii? i also heard there is 2 different ways to do it???
if so will the firmware play all games??

i know nothing about the wii... haven't even bought it yet for my son.. so i am also wondering can u go online with the wii?? can it be banned like the 360?/

hi mandy,

the best system menu is 4.1 at the moment.

There are two ways to do this. Homebrew -> system updater -> system menu 4.1

if you are at 4.2 youll need to follow another method using banner bomber follow larrys guide.

second method is to install via WAD files using wad manager 1.5.
homebrew -> wad manager -> system menu 4.1 wad

with softmodding you can go online with the wii without being banned. however if you use ocarina (softmod hacks) in online game play your wii account number , wifi number and ip address can be banned.
