mY XBOX IS FROM THE FIRST GENERATION I did the screw and washer trick to it but it still wont over heat n the fan doesnt work. Once i power it on i get three red lights n the fan power down. It feels cool to touch n i let it go fro 30minutes n it still didnt overheat at all.
CAN SOMONE HELP ME PLEASE OR GIVE ME A GUIDE THAT TALK EXACTLY BOUT THIS PROBLEM.

Power it on and let that puppy bake! It will eventually over heat. However be sure to watch it or put in a location that if something goes mad wrong that the house won't burn down. It's too close to Christmas to go homeless!

How tight are your screws? How many washers do you have in between the board and the heatsink? Your screws are probably on too tight, loosen them up until you get the fans working again. I usually cover the heatsinks with a cloth and let them overheat for 20-25 mins. Then after they overheat, I tighten the screws just a little bit. Works for me everytime. Good luck! =)

you need to get it reflowed, these tricks only work for a short period of time. You should talk to game over about getting a reflow. i have done it quite a few times and it works well
