A quick question for you guys.

My friend has a Wii that has been hardmodded, no idea what the chip is but since he updated it now no longer plays back-ups.

Can this Wii be softmodded. I've softmodded my own wii on 4.2 and works really well with a USB drive, he kinda wants me to do the same for him, but not sure if his hardmod chip will interfere with this?

Any idea would be great :)
