PSP Slim 2001 TA-085v2 CFW 5.50GEN-D2 Problems

I recently just bought (used) a PSP Slim 2001 TA-085v2 with OFW 3.72. I learned about the 5.03 TIFF Expliot and enabled chickHEN and installed 5.50GEN-D (Full) Cfw. Then did the quick update to GEN-D2. I got games working and whatnot a-ok.

Now I seem to have a problem. I've googled it all over the place. lol....
The Home button, (When I press it in game) does not blink on "No" and will not let me move the light(which is not blinky!!). THOUGH! if I put it on hold and then switch it up. I regain access to the menu and it flashes! Even works when i click yes!

In games I have come by an issue where I can not press the pause button at all, but if i do the hold method it works fine. What is wrong with my psp? Anyone got any ideas? I just modded it so i dont have any plugins installed. I disabled VSH menu, I never got it to work either, because I went under GEN Recovery menu and it asks me if i want it, and i did say yes one time.... and it rebooted and turned itself off. So i guess VSHmenu doesn't work.. >_>

Any solutions guys?

dunno... none of that sounds like firmware troubles more like hardware problems ...

you say its a used PSP i mean who knows what its been through... cause i have a psp slim 2k just like yours and i run gen-d2 no problem... no special settings and of course all the buttons work just fine
