lite on (august and later) "better dumping method" question

Ok, so I am thinking about dumping my liteon (oct. 2009) it's the 93. But, the only thing that I am getting caught up on is the reconnecting the wires. Once I have dumped the key and am re-assembling the drive, can i simply reconnect the wires with solder? If not, then how would I reconnect them?

From what I'm understanding you can dump the keys but not write to these drives, yet, so you have to spoof your key onto another drive. Until a write method is obtained you old drive will be incapacitated in either case solder or no solder. Can I get an Amen?

They can be flashed, so that is not true.
Anyways, I found my answer. Reconnect the wires with conductive paint. Done :) lol

Yeah, Maximus released ixtreme 1.6 for it.
Anyways, am I the only one having problems reading the diagram published for the new dumping method?

I suppose I don't understand. Where it says 'cut' and has the lines, do I need to cut in the direction of the lines, or are the lines pointing to something? Also, do I solder on that side of the IOboard, or on the flipside?

Where it says "cut", you need to cut those traces (dark green lines).

Thanks man, much appreciated. Will I be able to see what I am cutting? Or do I kinda need to just cut carefully?
Sorry for these basic questions. I can mod, we know that lol, but when it comes to hardware... Nope lol.

Finally a good thread! Were you successful on dumping? I am curious as well. I hope to get one of these drives this week!
Haven't had an opportunity to try yet. I am trying to learn the hardware stuff first so that when I go and cut, I don't mess things up lol. Gotta get a new soldering iron too, mine broke :( lol
