Ive modded several consoles (PS2, PSP, Wii, xbox) but that was a long time ago. I read up on the xbox 360 modding 2 or 3 years ago, but gave up after learning you could get banned. Not I'm kind interested again knowing that there are some new modding techniques on the market. For info, I believe I have a BenQ drive after comparing the drive tray with pictures I seen on the interenet. So a few Questions....

The Blaster CK3- will using this allow me to switch between modded and unmodded to play on live with games I own?

What do I do if I do not have a PC with Sata ports on it

All I would like to do is back ALL my games up to a hard drive and play them on the XBox 360. What is the BEST way to do it?

Blaster will not let you switch from a modded firmware to an unmodded one. All it does is allow you to flash your drive without opening the system a second time. If you don't eantto get banned, get yourself 2 consoles. One for live and the other for your shenanigans. That's is going to be your best route. No matter how safe someone say a firmware is or how stealth a game may be, you will always be running a risk getting on live with a modded box. I believe eventually you will get caught. It's all a matter of time.

Thanks for the info. I actually have someone the wants to sell me 2 broken xbox 360's. One with the RROD and the other something is wrong with the DVD drive. After I fix them I'll have to mod it.

So...where is the best place to start (without knowing what optical drive) to start gathering information?

Read on the jungle flasher tuts by Leerage in the Ultimate Sticky (found on the top of the main page on xbox 360 general discussion). You might also want to learn how to rip/stealth/burn xbox 360 games.

good luck on fixing the one with the wrong drive. if the guy doesnt have the original key is a wasted console. each drive is married to the motherboard. no two drives have the same key.

Come talk with us on efnet at #elitemods !!! or just click ME

ALSO, DO NOT SEND ME MESSAGES ON LIVE REGARDING MODDING CONSOLES, OR HOW I PLAYED A CERTAIN GAME EARLY. I WILL NOT RESPOND. I WILL INSTEAD DELETE YOUR MESSAGE, AND BLOCK ALL COMMUNICATION FROM YOU. JUST SEND ME A PM ON HERE.

Its not that it has a different drive than when it was first made. Its that it doesn't work. Its the original Drive.
