Bing sucks...you notice that it's shares go up almost identicaly to Windws 7 shares...and bing is the default search engine for Windows 7, even if you mistype a web adress. Bing isn't winning; Windows 7 is, and bing is riding it's coattails.

Good point...rather than making the search engine work correctly, the engineers are microsoft can make their paychecks just by trying to keep it online!

Bing recently surpassed 10 percent market share, a far cry from Google's 65 percent share but a nice increase for the search engine which was relaunched less than six months ago.
Just wondering, where is this data coming from? The November NetApplications report on search engine market share says that Google, globally, has ~85% market share. Bing is only showing 3.26%, which is just over half of Yahoo's 6.22%.

Also, if the Google 65% is correct and Bing has 10% then does that mean Yahoo has ~15-20% with the remaining 5-10% scraps going to Ask, Lycos, etc.?

Hey Pop Smith, numbers come from the latest comScore figures. Yahoo has 18 percent, Ask 4 percent, and AOL about 3 percent. This is also only for the US market, I will add that to the original article.
