theory on drive keys

ok, so we all know the reason that we need to dump our drive keys is so they match that on the motherboard. so, that would mean that we could simply extract the key from the nand (has been done recently using infectus) which would save everyone the time of reverse engineering dvd drives correct? why isnt this the standard to retrieving keys of drives such as the new lite ons?

read up on homebrew. People are dumping the cpu keys without the infectus
