DVD x Copy Xpress won't copy my new dvds

I downloaded dvd 43 & vso but i still can't make a backup copy of my new dvds using the dvd x copy xpress software. I purchased the dvd express software 6 months ago but it won't make copy of my new dvds. could u please assist me. thank you.

I appreciate that you have purchased DVDxcopy xpress and want "value" out of your puchase, but why don't you download & use DVDshrink instead.It's free & versatile. There are many members on this forum who swear by this software. I am sorry i can't be more help on your original question.

Hi mikepo, There is a link to the X copy forum at the bottom of the page. However, I think your copy of the software should be the complete version. Does the title Have RF in it? If not, you should not need DVD43. That is only for the Ripper Free versions. You didn't state much about your exact problem. Most trouble I had with X copy Express when I used it was poor quality media. Try a GOOD known brand of blank media like Ritek and see if the backup works.

I have a TDK 420 RW DVD and it was working fine but now I go to copy a DVD movie and after it reads it's it starts to write to blank dvd and then I get an error message and the dvd is runied it has a small ring near the center and that is all it writes. Any one what is wrong. I can write to the dvd files but can't movies.

I was using Fujifilm DVD+R RW blank DVDs
I was using DVD Copy Xpress RF,DVD X Copy Platinum RF,DVD X Copy Platinum, DVDXTREME
don't remmber wnat error was
My computor is a Dell pentium 4 2.4 G
512 sdram
80 G harddrive
17" flat screen monitor
Have a DVD reader
TDK 420 DVD RW
Have a track ball mouse
I think my keyboard is 102 key

Well it is the dvd x copy express, not the platinum vers. Problem is that it will not copy any new movie dvds. Only makes back up of older movies (before 2003). Such as Spiderman and others. Movies like Blade2 & Training Day, and new released movies will not copy. It goes to 55% and then says "error". Then it says insert blank dvd r. What do i need to download to make my dvd x copy xpress (only copies on to 1) to make copies of all movie dvds. Thanks for ur help.

DVD X Copy XPRESS v3.2.5.13 is the version that I have. The problem is not the media but being able to get pass the encryption, which prevents the software to make a backup of the dvd movie. Thanks again for your assistance.

It wont get 55% on a movie I have made a backup copy of before it wont copy now it starts to write and stops. It put a small line close to the center of the DVD about the size of a thin pen line.

That's your problem right there. XCopy needs at least 105 keys to work properly. You're getting incomplete burns because there's not enough keys.

If the 102 key board is my problem, why was I able to make copies before with the same key board. I don't think it is the key board, I think it is the sky hook that is the problem.

what make is your keyboard? and dvd x copy did give me alot of problems use dvd-shrink it has givin me zero problems and its easier to use and gives a better quality rip. and omg i never knew that a keyboard can cause issues with you burner how is that possible?

Key board is Dell
I was using DVD Copy Xpress RF,DVD X Copy Platinum RF,DVD X Copy Platinum, DVDXTREME, and DVD Copy Plus
You are right DVD Shrink works great I use it then write to disk with Roxio 6, Creator Classic, I haven't used Roxio Drag to disk yet but think it would work also. What program do you use to write to disk?

i use DVD Shrink it writes to dvd-r i sometimes use Nero 6 ultra edition for copy disc to disc.

Hiya bobfree,
I was yankin' your chain with the whole keyboard thing.
The exact error you're getting is the most important piece of info.
If you have the "RF" versions, what are you using to rip the DVD in the first place?
As you've found, DVD Shrink is a much better piece of software than the XCopy line which are very poor performers.
Roxio can and does interfere with other burning apps so if you get Nero then take Roxio off before you install it.
Drag To Disc is Roxio's version of packet writing software and will not work with DVD movies.

Ya got to talk the same language -
The Nero you got with your PC is the OEM version. Bits and piecfes of the Nero program. Unable to do Nero in the Classis mode or recode2 or a bunch of other things the Regular Nero can do.
You would be better off doing Nero 5.5 (an older version of Nero) which you can "Google" for for about $10.00.
You would both do better to go to this location (Check Nero on the left-hand side) you can get Nero for $35.00.

umm! not really buddy i bought it with some other software and games when i bought my pc so i got all the knicks and knacks that nero comes with. sorry i didnt get it for free just looked at my bill of sale for all parts and software..

Our mistake fartpoop, mostly (really always) software included with a PC is designed to get you to buy the full version.
You appear to be doing alright though, you have Nero burning your DVD Shrinks backups and you have it for doing your disc to discs - Now the only thing you have to explore in Nero's recode2. It operates like DVD Shrink but has a few more bells to it. It can't rip the DVD's but can open DVD Shrinks files and work with them - it can keep your menus - good thing, that.

Here is what I would do to copy my DVD. Purchase the two software programs AnyDVD and CloneDVD. AnyDVD will remove the codes, on the fly from your DVD player rom. CloneDVD will then rip and burn in one easy step. It is the easy way to copy. I would also get, for free, DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypted for special ripping and a author fetures you might need on some movies. Roberson
