I was wondering if there is any other product that would recover data from a dvd-r that is corrupt? I have some important data on a disc that i really really need and since i can't find dvdxrescue anywhere any more i was wondering if there is any other product out there that hasn't fell victim to stupid laws that i could use.

Try "Isobuster" (it's shareware), you can get it from the link shown below :-

http://www.soft14.com/Utilities_and_Hardware/File_and_Disk_Management/IsoBuster_1942_Review.html

I've not used it personally but have read some good reviews about it on other forums.

Give it a try.

Install a P2P program called Overnet. You'll easily find DVDXrescue for download with it.

I don't think dvdxrescue will help in your case. Its only set up to recover dvd movies.

If you prefer a web link, here's one to DVDXrescue:
http://www.pcsky.cn/download/down.asp?id=652&no=1

You can find 'anything else you may need about this software' on Overnet. Search for:
DVDXRescue

I agree with aldav45,if your smart enough to find this forum and post, then your smart enough to know that cracks are against the law.
If this site gets shutdown, ill send orphius or michigan to your house and administer a severe coaster beating.
So play by the rules or leave
jim

hey jim dandy, i actually did buy it, but it cant do everything it says it does.My prob is i have a movie that reads 59% , dvdxrescue says there is a damaged VOB located in the disc and yes fair enough it does back it up to my hard drive but it also backs up the damaged VOB.If i had known in the 1st place that it couldnt repair a damaged VOB i probably wouldnt have bought this piece of crap.(So much for all the hype from 321 about there great product, and there support team sucked as well .).As it stands now i probably will have to Demux the file or re purchase another version of the same movie.

As to you others edit your posts as both 'jim_dandy & aldav45' are right about posting cracks!!!!

hi andmerr

Sorry if you misunderstood what I said,I wasnt talking to you I was talking to mr dolphin (shame shame)mentioning cracks and downloading said same!!

Ive never had the misfortune, of dealing with any of the 321 products, so the only thing I can lend to this thread,is my sympathy lol

I was just kicking in my two cents and backing up what aldav45 said

blaze on

I don't see how I was breaking the forum rules, since I didn't post a link to any pirated or cracked material. It seems it can't be even mentioned here... whatever.
I didn't mean to cause problems to or offend anyone, I was only trying to help a guy to find what he wanted. So, I edited my previous message. The forbidden word is not there anylonger. I hope you're happy now! :)

OK so i did find it for sale at one place, costs $49.00, but is it worth it now? I really really need this data, but if its not going to work i dont' want to spend $49 on it, i'm willing to spend that just for this data if its going to work. So could some people let me know what you think, right now it seems as though its not to great.

Andmerr, "where the hell and what language is it in , i ended up somewhere that looks like well i couldnt decipher it."

It's Chinese. In the middle of the page you'll find three green small squares, there's an arrow and a number (1,2 or 3)next to each square. You can download the program by clicking on one of these numbers.

nd595, it looks like the best thing to do in your case is:
1-Download the program.
2-Get the 'tool' you'll need to have it fully operational on Overnet
3-Try to solve your problem.
4-If it works for you, go to the store and buy the program, supporting the developers.

nd595 i tried brian 100 's idea and d/loaded iso buster.

Used the most scratched disk i have and it recovered the data.Although it is free from there website there is also a paid version available as well.

The only difference that i can see is that there is basically none.321 DVD X RESCUE HAS SLIGHTLY different functions but = the saME END RESULT THAT YOU WILL get from iso buster. The recovery of your data.Try it first ,its about 2.19 meg dload. If that doesnt work before you purchase 321 dvdxrescue it might be better to email tech support at 321, explain the problem you have and the media it is on and t6hey may have a different solution for you

let us no how you get on
