I've had my 360 for about two years, and got it modded about a year and a half ago. Eventually, this got me banned from live, which isn't a huge issue to me since I mostly use it to play FIFA with friends. Over the past two months, the 360 would occasionally crash after prolonged (30+ minutes) use, with the two left quadrants flashing (section 1 and 3).

Several online guides reported this to be an overheating issue, which I blamed on dust in the coolers or something. I clean my desktop PC's coolers every few months, and there's loads of dust in those. I would turn off the xbox, leave it for a while and when I'd turn it back on, it would work fine.

Today, this stopped working. The xbox 360 crashes about 5 minutes in, still with the two left quadrants flashing, but now it doesn't work again after leaving it alone for a while. When I press the eject and synch buttons, it reports error code 0120.

The weird thing is, while I am unable to play any games, I played a HD WMV file for over an hour, and this worked fine. Does anyone know what issue I'm dealing with here, and if there is a fix known?
