Ok, I am wondering about printing an image with a lot of white on it to a Silver Printable DVD-R.
If I print on a normal sheet of paper, the white parts of the image are really the absence of color, so they show up white. In that respect, if I print on a silver DVD-R and the white section of the image still become the absence of color so they show up silver, right? On the other side of that, if I am printing an image with a lot of silver on it will the printer try to print the silver parts on the disc and do I need to edit the image and make the silver parts white? I can't think of a printer that I have seen that will print with white ink. Is there one? Am I making this way to complicated? Will Stacy and John get back together? Can I ask anymore questions in this post? Pat, can I buy a vowel? Ok, I'll shut up now. Thanks

Hi roeod4, I think you have answered your own questions. With a silver background, white will probably show silver. Silver printing on the silver background will probably just dull out the finish. Most printable discs I have seen advertised are usually white matt finish. I haven't seen a printer that prints white ink, but that doesn't mean that one doesn't exist. Probably very rare if one is out there.
