Hi my son, loaded an old game called lost planet and mistakenly downloaded some old firmware. Unfortunately my PS3 will not start up now, can someone help us. Thanks
you have to be more specific then "it wont start up" does the light go on, do you see any load screen what so ever, is it turning on and not getting a video signal?
Hi, When I switched on the PS3 then hold down the green power for the three beeps - I was able to start the load of the Firmware but it got to 90% and then powered down. Now when I try to start it up I get nothing, it is reconsied on the TV but there are no menu or options to take. sorry for the lack of of infor on my previous thread.Tks dave
now, the firmware is it firmware 3.10? or something earlier, even if it is, delete it, adn redownload it to your usb stick under PS3/UPDATE. it may be a corrupt file thats its trying to load.
IF that does not work, you may have to remove the HDD and format it with a PC to clear all the junk from the partialy updated firmware off of the drive.
