Does anyone know if and when the new Brothers in arms game will be out? I assume it will deal with Battle of the bulge since the quote was said at the end, "Do you like snow?" If anyone has any info, could you please let me know? Thanks

The game did not do too hot in regards to sales and the the WWII genre has just been beaten to death with various iterations. BIA's single player campaign was okay and the online MP was horrible.
With the recent success if Borderlands I think that the BIA franchise will be put on the shelf for quite some time. I think Gearbox will be focusing a lite of time, money and energy on a sequel for Borderlands and DLC.

You're kidding, right? Just because WW2 has been beaten to death, you honestly think there will be companies who stop making games based on it? Get out a little more.

I hope not because I actually thought it was a really good game and hope that they keep it going. I am all for saying, if you don't like playing WWII games, play something else. I can sit hear and say, "Well, another Madden game is coming out, how many different ways can they do that game", but if that's what people like, then play them.

Hes not saying that, hes just saying it needs to be given a break because the market has been saturated with them for years.

I own the limited edition of the new bia game, still in its original packaging. And thats where it will stay.

Why you ask? Am I some crazy game collector? Do I forsee it being worth a lot in the future? Hell no, I bought it because it was 30 bucks and Gearbox announced it was going to have trophies back when trophy games were few and far between. Then they bailed and dropped all support on the game almost instantly because the sales werent to their expectations. So in the box it stays; because I'm not going to play the game of a company that bails on its customers based on the quantity of copies sold.

And based on their reaction to the last one not selling well I dont see them making another any time in the near future; because they are money whores like a lot of other companies these days. And that is my long winded response to your seemingly simple question.

Thanks Canuckers. I did not say that no one will be making anymore WII based games. I mean the Saboteur and Wolfenstein (did not too so well either) are games are set in a WWII setting. Amak your get hot very quickly. BIA did not move a lot of unit and thats a fact. Does it mean that we will never see a BIA game? No. But I think game companies will think long and hard before releasing a WWII based game. There are still a few gamers out there that like the WWII setting but not enough to make a WWII game lucrative. Lets face it, BIA is not COD WaW but like I said I enjoyed the game as I played the first one on PS2 and PC.

I though it was a decent game. But apparently not enough people thought the same way cause if there was then we would not be asking if a new one will be coming out. Your logic with Madden makes a lot of sense and yes I agree with people will play what they like. BUT! Madden sells well every year that's why there's one every year. Again I did not say that I did not like BIA as I shelled out $59 buck for it when it came out. I'm saying that based on sales and the recent success of Borderland, we will not be hearing anything about a new BIA game in a while.

Sorry, didn't mean to act to that the wrong way. I understand what you are saying. I though Wolfenstein was a really good game.
