Hi I have tried to run a copy of a game in my Wii but is say not recognised or somehting like that.

I burned the ISO to a disk which happened to be a dual layered I had laying around and I can see it has burned on the disk.

My Wii is straight from sa shop so this is probably a silly question but do you have to have a 'chipped' Wii? to make this work.

It has to be modded in some way, "chipped" or hardmodded, or softmodded.

"Off the shelf" Wiis will not play backup discs.

I was trying to work out this Homebrew Channel thing using SD cards, as it doesn't suggest you have a modified consol that I can see.

Installing the Homebrew channel is what "softmods" your console. You made no mention of that in your original post.

Thanks, that is helpful as I didn't know what a 'softmod' was, so will look into HB some more and I believe I need to get an SD card to try it out.
