PS3 Blu-ray will not play in DTS

I have a PS3 connected with optical output to my Onkyo TX-DS595 which supports DTS, Dolby Digital, or stereo. When I play a DVD disc or a game I get DTS audio but when I play a Blu-ray disc I get normal stereo, not DTS. I believe my audio out settings are correct.

well the bd audio settings for bit stream or linear pcm are under your video settings, have you tried looking into the audio settings in the bd movie menu?
