5 questions regarding buying a new xbox 360 arcade!

My console got banned and now it has a 0022 rrod. I have tried the x-clamp fix but it's not working. I also don't have anybody nearby who can reflow the thing. So I have got no choice but to buy a new one. So here are some questions :-
1) Can I mod all the dvd drives of the new 360's in the market or do I have to look for some particular consoles. I want to mod the usual way without any soldering. I would simply like connecting the dvd drive to my pc's sata card and do the usual with jungleflasher, ie the same way i mod my BenQ VAD6038 drive. I have a zephyr xbox. I have heard that you need pre august jaspers or something like that to mod. How can I find out whether it's that xbox?
2) Can I put my BenQ VAD6038 drive to my new console and use it?
3) Can I put my 20 gb hdd in the new console and use it? Can I use my banned gamer tag without getting banned? Also I had put some premium themes using xplorer 360 in my hdd. I know there is a chance of getting banned again with that. So here is my plan, I would buy the new 360 and update it in Live without connecting the hdd. Then I wouldn't never connect to live. After that I would mod my console and put my 20 gb hdd in it.
4) Should I swap the case and put the older console in it and send it for repairs. I know it's illegal and all but has anyone been successful with it?
5) Phewwwww.....Can't think of one right now :lol:

1) you're going to have to find quite an old console do be able to do that for the most part, as Liteon's are just about the only ones on the market, and most of them require either a probe, or soldering to be able to flash them.
2) You, could, but since you'd still need to extract the key from the new console, and then spoof that key onto the Benq drive, it would be mostly pointless.
3) I don't see why that would be an issue, so long as you never connect to live with the HD connected, though don't hold me to that.
4) We don't discuss those sorts of fraudulent activities here. I for one wouldn't risk it, as the console would most likely be sent back to you and you'd have to pay the shipping.

1. There are two liteons that cannot currently be flashed, they should be hacked soon though.
2. You will have to dump the new consoles dvd drive and spoof the benq with the dvd key for it to work.
3. You won't get banned from the hard drive
4.I wouldn't recommend it, but people have done it before. It's immoral, but if you think about it it is microsofts fault... they f@cked you over first to increase profits (but that still doesn't give you a right to break the law).

Regarding the 3rd question, i am more interested in knowing in whether that my warranty will be intact if I don't get banned from live, and have an untampered warranty sticker.

If you take the warranty sticker off, regardless of whether it remains "intact" or not, you have voided the warranty from a legal standpoint. whether MS would be able to tell is another story, but your warranty is void once you open up the console.

I know that but the last time I had an rrod, they just registered my complaint. Send a courier guy with the replacement console and picked up my console. That was it!

Which is fine, but you asked if you'd still be under warranty, and the answer to that is no. Whether you're willing to break the law and commit fraud is up to you.

again noobs helping noobs, doesn't help. ALL drives are hackable!! This includes the new lite-on's. Currently right now the V2 lite-on's will require soldering to dump and flash. Just because you buy a new xbox doesn't mean it will be made after Aug. 2009 anyway if you don't want to solder. Just buy one and take it back if it has the newer lite-on.

Noobs? You're the one not reading his entire post. He clearly said he wants to be able to just hook up the drive like he did the BenQ, and as of now most Liteon drives can't be done that way. He didn't want to deal with a probe or anything else according to his post. So perhaps before you start insulting others, you should be sure your advice is correct, which it isn't in this instance. He didn't ask if the drives would be hackable, he asked to be able to simply connect it via Sata and flash away, something few Liteons can currently do.

It isn't false as pertaining to the OP. The OP wanted to know about drives hacked without soldering, which currently the 2 liteon versions cannot be, so by the OPs standards, they aren't hacked yet. Outside of that though, I don't see what's wrong with any of the other info provided, he would have to spoof the Benq with the new consoles key to use it, the hard drive would work fine so long as he doesn't connect to Live, etc.
Stop going around this forum as if you are the end-all-be-all of 360 knowledge, or make sure you read what people actually want to know before you go insulting others who are being much more helpful with the questions actually being asked, we'd all appreciate it.

Considering that the 93450c liteon has only been hacked in the last few days and I haven't kept up on all the recent updates as I have been busy with work. I am sorry that my life does not revolve around xbox hacking.

I guess the problem with that is dont they open and check the units? Swaping the case wont undo what has been done. If it were me, I would make sure rrod the unit prior to sending it in. Also all the knuckle heads that did it to the stores and didnt rrod them, just gave MS the serial #s to the new system they have. But hey, just my opinion!

heres a question, I recently got my xbox 360 done in the last couple month's and everything was fine.I try and burn games now and once they are completed I put it in the xbox and it says play dvd, you click on it and the xbox 360 logo comes up followed by nothing.Not sure what is going on dont know if the ban had something to do without or what? Any ideas??
