I have been browsing around and found IPTV Receivers - now i didnt even know IPTV existed i thought it was new and was going to be used by V7rg7n Med7a as there new encryption:

Questions:

Did v7rg7n go IPTV or N3 in UK? (i know ireland is N3)

If leeds area went IPTV not N3 - will these receivers be the possible crack to it? Or is there already one (on other providers possibly)

Any information be cool!

Would clear things up a little over these box's!

I believe there's a few new boxes you can buy in UK now that are IPTV, which means you can watch Catch-up, BBCi player, YouTube etc. through your TV but connected to internet.

Oh and it seems vermin have gone N3 for the moment.

thnx mooley i understand what they are now then! not bad for my mum actually - forever using bbci player - but sick of using the laptop the arm of the sofa!

are these proper boxes or people found a way to view catch up & bbci player and exploited it with creating a box - thus needing updates everytime the code change or service changes, which could possibly block it out altogether in the future?

sorry for the negativity - but rather know what its all about - interested in purchasing one for my mum!

No it seems it's fully legal and above board. It could also be BT IPTV which provides TV channels though. I didn't think they were up and running yet though.

Saw an ad today also mate for a TV with this IPTV built in. Sorry I can't remember who made it.

This is the list the list of current IPTV providers in UK:

Tiscali Tiscali TV
Inuk Networks Inuk Networks Freewire TV
BT BT Vision
