cannot get WAD manger and homebrew browser to work

i have an HDD, with 2 partitions, one fat32 and another WBFS.

I try to install a wad and when i select where im getting the .wad file, it ssays ret=-1 or something like that, which i assume means it doesnt read anything. I tried both USB storage device and USB 2.0 storage device, no go.

Similarly, homebrew browser cannot read the usb device, because when i run it, it said theres nowhere to mount it.

I am, however, able to run stuff like USB Loader GX.

run diskmgmt.msc and check if the FAT32 partition is marked as active.

does it have to me primary? i believe mine is logical. i need to doublecheck.

i think ill switch my WBFS to logical, and FAT32 oen to primary

also, how long is WBFS manager suppose to take when you transfer .isos that is around 3.5gb? because it is taking me quite awhile!
