edge what do you mean window in the HDD are you refering to the area where the silver tab logo is?

No, I use a double-sided tape.
thats nuts! does the tape hold good?
It holds very well. Four small pieces, one at each corner, holds 10 times better than hot glue. It can be removed with a knife, razor, etc.

I used hot glue on my very first cut-out (below). Changed it to the adhesive tape (stronger).




The problem with hot glue is that if the window is pressed from the outside, it can be "popped" loose. I make cases for customers, so I need it to be as strong as possible.
