Hey guys, got a couple questions for you about the Microsoftxbox 360 Refurbs. I don't know if any of you have had any experience with these but I figured it was worth a shot. I will be getting one from Gamestop.
First question:
What kind of warranty comes with them from Microsoft? Is it the same as buying a new Xbox with the 1 year standard and the 3 year RRoD?
Second question:
What kind of chips can I count on being in these things? Obviously I would want a Jasper chitset. Do the Microsoft Refubs come with Jaspers or are they second rate or older ones (xenon, falcon, etc..)
hi mate just to let you know ive just brought a refurb after getting a ban, then after i got banned my 360 red ringed, and to answer your question the refurbs are mint condition mine looks brand new, it was sealed like new even had the little disc tray sticker, pads and wires are all brand new, when looking inside it had a falcon board, and it runs very cool, i also have the wisper max fans with 12volt and it keeps very cool, i got a one year warrenty but am not sure bout the 3 year thing, im very pleased with it, it just looks brand new even inside. much better than getting a preowned one that could be about to rrod any second and better than the 6 month warrenty u get with them, i also got a brand new black wireless pad and the memory unit, and 2 games lego batman and pure, also the white wireless pad that comes with it, all for 130 pounds, it had a benq drive wich i was happy about cuz i will flash it wen new firmware is out

It's random. Gamestop takes in whatever someone trades in. It could be only 2 months old, or it could be a launch system from November of 2005. Just tell them that you want one with HDMI and to bring a few of them out so you can see the manufacture date on the back. Do it 1st thing in the morning when they are not busy and it shouldn't be a problem.
