i am trying to purchase a psp that can run custom firmware. i am bidding on this one on ebay -they say it has ofw 5.03. i have no idea what motherboard it has, i know it is a psp 2000. (just got a new one from best buy and it is running firmware 6.0). I did the research and there is no way to hack it as far as i can see. i am buying it for my son for christmas and want to mod it myself if possible so he can run all the free games. what would be the first step..(this is my first post)I am pretty good with the computer, but have no idea how to run a psp

http://pspslimhacks.com/easy-chickhen-cu...ithout-pandora/ one thing that i have found out is you have to know the serial of the device if the first 2 are HU it cannot be hacked at this time. so before you buy one regardless of the firmware make sure it has a serial that is not HU. if it is a PHAT then you have no worries it should be hackable.
