i have a few seasons of The Office on my comp and i need them on DVD!
the files are .avi and it was my impression that 360 could handle this codec np.
im running mac and using 'Burn' to create my discs, and there are four basic options in the software under "Create DVD", and one of them is DiVX, which is the only one that doesnt require all the files to first be converted before burning.
i burned a disc of said .avi files and when i put it in my 360 the video just shoots through very choppy, like it's in fast forward!
is there anything i can do to correct this... but more importantly WWHAT DO YOU GUYS SUGGEST SOFTWARE WISE!!
i have all these avi files (and some mkv) and i need to burn them to DVDs that my 360 can read (and read well!)
please help ladies and gentlemen, much appreciation.

bad title thread but i would suggest changing them to an iso. file and then using imgburn to make them a dvd that your xbox will def. read with no problem. Whenever i burn movies i use one iso file and imgburn and i am done. im sure you can do it differently but my way is fast and will work

Have you thought of just streaming the content instead of burning to disc? is this for personal use or sharing with friends/family?
If just for personal you should save your discs and just stream. you can try this http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver/
even tho its name wouldn't imply it, it does support the 360, and there is a MAC version

ya thats true. if you have the media update you can just put the avi files on a flash drive and play them that way.

Yeah, a flash drive will do the job. And will save you tons of disks in the long run.
Not sure about mac software but I would stay away from the printable disk stickers, they will throw you disk off balance when spinning in your xbox drive and cause read errrors.
