hi guys
okay so i have a problem
two months ago my xbox was working perfectly with my d-link wbr 2310
i had my xbox plugged in from the back of the router
and was playing world at war with no troubles
then suddenly one day
bam it all stops working
i go through the troubleshooting on the console
the same msg keeps coming up
"cant detect network hardware"
i dont think i changed any of the router's settings
so i really dont know the reason
ive tried a new Ethernet cable
i power cycled
same answer
and also i connected my xbox directly to my modem and only THEN i can connect to xbox live
ive called xbox and dlink but they are dumbasses
help asap please!

oh and also guys
ive tried DMZ mode

but also on my router
after i log in it
in the settings
there is this tool
called system check
it shows you which wires are connected and not and what ports
for my other wires connected it shows that they are connected and working
and in the 3rd port
where my x6o ethernet cable is plugged
is shows that there is a wire there but its disconnected/ not connected

Try a factory reset and reconfigure the router (putting a paperclip in the back hole for 15 seconds should do the trick), you will then need to reconfigure your router.

If this doesnt work, either try your router on someone else's setup or someone else's router on your setup to confirm if you have faulty hardware.

ehh i tried resetting and even making a whole new network but the same problem
does all this have anything to do with opening ports or something?
i dont know what port forwarding is but i feel like thats the problem cause i know some ports have to be open for xbox live to work its just that i dont think i changed anything on my router it all just stopped working randomly
