ok guys im new to this modding thing but im slowly getting the hang of it and I just need to know one thing. I recently modded my 360 benQ drive (last night) with iExtreme 1.6 because thats what the tutorial video i found was using and I thought it was the newest firmware. Well I've been reading this forum and found out there is a newer firmware that is available. I am not banned from xbox live but i have no desire to play online with this 360 because i have another one to use with my xbox live account. All i need to know is will this firmware version (1.6) play any game that is out now or do i need to upgrade to the newest version to play the new games out like modern warfare 2. Just let me know what the best thing to do is please. I have read a lot of different threads saying this is not the right version if i want to play offline because it has some stealth checker or something and i have also read about wave 4 and all that and a wave converter. Just tell me what the best thing to do is or will this version work with all games as long as i dont wanna play online. Thanks

put 1.61 on if you want to play every game currently available without having to use the activate.iso disc.

Thanks, is there anything i can buy that will make the flashing process easier I hate having to take my xbox apart?

If you want to flash your xbox, you have to take it apart.

It gets so much easier after the first couple of times...don't worry. There are kits out there you can buy to mod the case but they're not worth it IMHO.
