i have two whole 360s both are past the jtag dashboard :(
but, i have hope, i have a very old 360 internals it red ringed back in 2007 and i simply brought another one i had been using it for powering drives when flashing them before the connectivity kits came out.
now its a hitachi drive model though i tried to put the hitatchi in a mates system but it ended up getting bricked (i have no idea where that drive is) now i dont have the drive key but i gather there is a way to get it from the nand (back then anyway)
so heres my questions
1)whats the easiest most effective red ring of death fix (google reveals hundreds from penny coins to x clamps and all between so i know this may be a personal opinion but renember i have no solder iron (never used one) no heatgun and little electronic experience.
2) can i get the drive key from the nand and spoof my liteon or samsung drive?
3)can you provide a link to a method to jtag that is solderless (i dont mind buying chips to do this but soldering, i really dont think i have the dexterity to do that) if there is no solderless method please link me to the easiest method for a newb
obviously if 2 is no then this is a no go.
im at work at the moment but if this looks like a possible then i shall get the internals from the loft and can give any details from the motherboard thats needed

1)a reflow is the best bet, will cost around 30 dollars
2)Yes i believe so
3)There is no solderless method and if you have little electronic experiance you will have no chance at doing this
what about the solderles jtag cable on ebay is it a scam? i had a read of a (i want to say mod chip but i know thats the wrong word) and it was solder here solder there *shivers*
i will however look up reflow when more awake (its 0400 here in the uk and im sleepy lol) spose if i tried it and broke it i havent lost ought (well other then cash for the chip/jtag cable and soldering iron

you don't have to try immediately on the 360 if your a newbie at soldering, try soldering wires together, and get an alright understanding of how to solder and soldering electronics before jumping straight to the 360 if you do plan to go the soldering route
