Ok my idea here is to start a thread that people can look at first to get some straight forward answers because I know that it can be frustrating sifting through all of the incorrect answers that are our there.
In this thread we should include what happens to your Xbox 360 and how it is different that before it was banned. Examples include profile corruption, no HDD installs of games, no netflix ect. ect.
What you can do with your Xbox 360 after it has been banned.
How to recover your gamertag and reuse your old HDD on a new console.
Explore the possible "unban" methods.
How to restore full functionality of the HDD (so that your banned box doesn't corrupt your profile and also play games from the HDD)
And a decent FAQ that is accurate.
I know that AD members can get this done. There are some really intelligent members here. With their knowledge we can answer the questions once and for all and make life easier on everyone.

Q: Can I use my Hard Drive on another console? And will my new console be banned for this? A: Yes you can reuse your HDD. Banning only affects how your Xbox 360 console works. No your new console will not be banned simply because you reused your HDD.

Q: If I cannot connect to XBL how can i update my gamer score/achievements? A: As your probably have read, your Xbox 360 now corrupts any profiles that are accessed and saved. You can recover your gamertag on another console, but it will only contain points up until the point when you were banned. Any progress or points that are obtained post ban will not be recorded unless you hack your HDD to, in a way, manually recover them.
Q: I've continued to play after I have been banned and since then gained achievements and saved my game. How can I transfer them to my new xbox 360? A: If you delete your profile only from your HDD from your banned xbox, insert your HDD in your new xbox 360, and then recover your gamertag from XBL you should have all of your points and saves that were not earned or created post ban. To salvage the corrupted profile, score, and achievements you must hack them.
I wont include any link on how to uncorrupt your profile because I tried one method and failed. So I wont lead you guys to the same demise. Anyway, as soon as someone can verify a tut or write one up I will include it here.
