I need help. My blue ray drive stopped working so i bought a new 410ACA lense and transport. repaired the drive and when i plug the power in to check the lens moves and the blue light comes on etc. I then connect to the daughter board on the drive (BMD-006) and put back togther and nothing.. not a squeak.. disk goes in.. no sign on xmb.. is the daughter board f******.. arghh.. starting to hate PS3's.. do i now have the thankless task of trying to locate a new BMD-006 duaghter board or throw it all away.. whats my options guys..

what version of the ps3 do u have? 40GB? 60GB? 80GB? because the 40/80 uses the blu-ray drive u speak of, and the 60GB uses the aaa/400, if u have the 60GB then u've got the wrong drive, but if it's the 40/80GB u have then there must another probem to it, i myself dont know what that could be though

Do all 40gigs use the blu-ray listed above? my ps3 doesn't play any type of disk at all. Mine is a 40g that came with spiderman 3,it's about two years old now. Should i be trying to just change the laser or the whole blu-ray drive with daughter board?

Well I have tracked down the issue and its not the replacement laser and tray I have bought. The problem is the plastic bottom half of the blu ray player and that for some reason it is not capable of dragging in the disks. Half the rollers and broken and the arms done engage properly. I need a new bottom half of the drive. Anyone know where i can source one. I have scoured ebay and google with no luck. Anyone has a 410ACA drive available please let me know. :)
