Yesterday I flashed a brand new out of the box 360 (Lite-On 83850). It has only seen/played one game disc: a backup Modern Warfare 2, (ripped with a BenQ, includes SS v2, shows all green in ABGX, burned to Verbatim). Banned yesterday evening.
Another reason to wait and check out iXtreme LT. Hope it truly IS undetectable. If not, I'll be back to using dual boxes (one modded, one stock).

Well, considering your game was ripped incorrectly, as MW2 is SS v2, your experience is hardly surprising.

Sorry to clarify
Console bought from retailer brand new
open box flash with 1.6
connect to live do updates?
If so you should have connected to live beforehand and done the updates before flashing 1.6 firmware. Youd probably been okay then
Logic would say the reason the ixtreme firmware is detectable is because of the stealth/0800 features on it. Bearing in mind the new lT stuff (if its ever released) will be as close as possible to stock.
Question for all, is it only being released for Liteon drives? (I read this on xbox-scene, well it wasnt very specific)

It is for all drive types, i may have a problem with regards to connecting to live before flashing as the 360 i bought was already flashed and had never been on live.

What because it didn't come out instantly? This is a brand new firmware, not some update. It takes some time to produce something like that, and make sure it works perfectly.
If they rushed it out and then everyone got banned due to some issue, people would complain even more.

@OP- Why would you connect a new box to live? not aware every ix is detectable? if you know about ssV2 i take it you know of the ban's

I have another brand new virgin 360 Lite-On that I have to flash. I'll update it first, and then flash 1.6 to it tonight or tomorrow.

I flash a "lot" of boxes. This is not one of mine, it is a customer's. I flashed it, backed up his Modern Warfare 2 for him, he took it home, told me he played it all night and was banned the next day.

Of course I know, (which is why I said "I hope LT is truly undetectable). Also, I'm one of the people at the beginning of the ban wave suggesting the iXtreme firmware is/was detectable.
My post was to simply say that I hope LT is really undetectable, because I can't figure the detection out. Only one of my three consoles is banned. One of them is played literally day and night, Always connected to Live, with no ban yet. The other unbanned box is on Live 3-4 hours a day. My brother brought his box over to play on my internet connection, and got banned a couple hours later. He thought my connection was "safe" since I still have unbanned boxes.

you know i wonder if ms only detects 1.6 firmware,my friend has been playin his xbox with hitachi 1.51 and hasnt been banned,went online with l4d2 not even patched

gotta call bs on ur buddy. I use hitachi 1.51, played only 2 games online (wave 3, patched, verified) and got nailed on friday the 13th. imo hes messing with your head.

I actually did two identical boxes (virgin Lite-On 74850 Jaspers). Connected them to Live, updated them, flashed them (IX 1.6), connected them again to Live overnight on the same network (disc inserted, but no gameplay), went to work last night, came home this morning, one is banned, one is not.
